When it comes to organizing your children's clothes it can be a little more difficult than you would think. You’re working with items that are a lot smaller than your own and kids being kids sometimes need more than one outfit change in a day. Today I'm going to show you how to create an efficient system in place to make your life that much easier.
Step 1:
Little changes go a long way. My first tip would be to change out all of your kids' clothing to small velvet hangers. They have a selection of colors to choose from. Like I mentioned before, children's clothing is smaller than ours making it a lot easier for their clothes to slide off of hangers. With these in your closet you won't have to worry about that anymore. Plus they look great.
Step 2:
You all know how much I love file folding. It allows you to not only save space but also gives you a perfect display of your items. This is where drawer dividers come in handy. By adding drawer dividers you're creating specific zones for each category of clothing plus giving the (tiny) clothes that structure they need to stay in place.
Step 3:
Lastly, bins with labeled clips will completely transform your kids closet. This is for items that aren't used as often but are still needed to be close by. For example your kids diapers backstock. I have a dedicated drawer for my son's diapers in my home. When I see we’re running low I just grab the diaper bin from up top and restock my drawer. Always remember that we are looking for ways to make your life easier.
And just like that! You and your space are as good as new.
